Evil, Suffering, And God

God created humans with the freedom to love or hate, but love without a choice is neither authentic nor desirable. God’s love is not controlling. Evil is not some grand scheme by God! How we answer “Why, God?” in times of distress is critical to our relationship with God. False ideas or beliefs may cause one to lose faith or become angry with God rather than receive the comfort God so ably can give. God did not run from suffering as Jesus suffered in hopes of influencing and changing a world of their own volition. I believe God’s ways are rational and understandable. There can be plausible explanations as to how evil and God’s goodness can co-exist. God forbid disputable understandings of God’s role in evil and suffering drives people to unbelief or despair.
